Deposit Policy:
A Bed and Breakfast stay is very different from a typical lodging stay. When you make a reservation with us, we are committing to you a specific room on specific dates and will not rent that room to anyone else. The Lamberson Guest House is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us. Because of this, we require a deposit in the amount of 50% of your total reservation at the time of booking.
Cancellations:
The following cancellation policies are in effect when the reservation is made:
Regardless of the reason for the cancellation or a change in the length of your stay, reservations are non-refundable if the cancellation is requested within 14 days of your scheduled arrival. Full-house bookings are non-refundable within 30 days of your scheduled arrival. Cancellation of your reservation prior to the 14 or 30 day period will be refunded, less a $50 processing fee per room.
Covid-19 cancellations:
As Covid-19 is a known risk to travel, the above cancellation policy is in effect.
Third party bookings:
Reservations made through third-party vendors (Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc) are non-refundable regardless of when the cancellation is made.
Old Man Winter Guarantee:
Winter is a wonderful time to visit Galena. Whether you’re looking to relax and unwind, or to enjoy some of the exciting winter sports offered all over Galena, book your stay with us and know that if a winter storm warning is issued that prevents you from traveling, we will issue you a credit voucher for the full amount of your deposit, that you can use within 12 months of your scheduled stay.
Payment:
Accepted forms of payment include credit and debit cards, and Lamberson Guest House gift certificates.
The balance of your stay will be charged to the card used to reserve your room on the morning of the day you are due to check in. If you would like to use another form of payment, please let us know before your arrival date.
Reservations:
Lamberson Guest House has a two-night minimum stay.
Check in and Check Out:
Our standard check-in time is 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Any arrivals after 7:00 pm will be subject to an additional $25 late check-in fee. Because we wake in the wee hours of the morning, we are unable to accommodate any check-ins after 9:00 pm.
Checking in prior to 3 p.m. is not available due to housekeeping schedules.
Check-out time is 11:00 AM. A late check out time is not available due to housekeeping schedules.
Pets:
We are unable to accommodate pets at this time.
Smoking:
Under Illinois law, smoking is not allowed in our home or within 15 feet of doors and windows. We do have an outdoor smoking area for those who would like to enjoy a cigarette, pipe, or cigar.
Children:
Well-behaved children over the age of 16 are welcome in our inn. However, there is a 2-person maximum occupancy for all of our rooms.
